Space Planner (Corporate Office Furniture)

We are seeking a talented and experienced Space Planner to join our team. As a Space Planner, you will work closely with sales professionals to design innovative space plans for office furniture that perfectly meet our customers' individual or corporate office settings. Expertise in 2D and 3D CAD drawings and specifications will be required for creating functional and aesthetic office environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with salespeople and customers to design detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and specifications for office furniture, high-density storage, and industrial workstations.
  • Educate customers and installers on the functional relationships of product components through layouts, schematics, or angle view designs.
  • Provide recommendations on design, layout, and the use of other detail components and systems to resolve space planning challenges.
  • Ensure successful installation by providing proper documentation and instructions within drawings.
  • Prepare accurate and timely estimates or quotations for prospective job bids.
  • Prepare drawings, quotations, and presentations to effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Display strong organizational ability and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
Competencies:
  • Must have proficiency in AutoCAD 2017 to create professional and high-quality designs.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite, with basic 3D knowledge.
  • Must be highly focussed with the ability to understand the customer's space planning requirements.
  • Should be able to collaborate in a team environment, partnering with salespeople, customers, and installers.
  • Display innovation and creativity in problem-solving and providing unique design solutions.
  • Must be highly adaptable to adjust to changing project requirements and timelines.
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to take initiative and independently manage tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Display enthusiasm and dedication to creating exceptional office environments.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The applicant must be technically minded and technology savvy and possess a strong understanding of design software and tools.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably utilizing AutoCAD and Office Space Planning Software.
