FlyDubai to commence Tel Aviv operations from 26 November

Airline will operate 14 flights a week with a double daily service.

Flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier, has announced the start of flights between Dubai and Tel Aviv from 26 November 2020.  The carrier will operate 14 flights a week offering a double daily service between Dubai International (DXB) and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion (TLV) and flights are now available to be booked on the airline’s website flydubai.com.

This announcement follows the air transport agreement that was recently signed by both countries as well as the start of passenger and cargo operations by other national carriers.  In addition, there have been a number of bilateral visits as travel and tourism opportunities open-up.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, said, “Since the launch of flydubai 11 years ago, we have been committed to removing barriers to travel, creating free flows of trade and tourism and enhancing connectivity between different cultures across our network.  Following the recent bilateral agreement, the start of scheduled flights will contribute to economic development and create further opportunities for investment in pursuit of our shared interests and values. With the start of services there will be the option for increased accessibility to the UAE as well as onwards to the Indian Ocean, Far East and Africa reducing total journey times by several hours.”

Since the launch of the airline in 2009, flydubai has become well known for connecting previously underserved markets as well as offering direct links to Dubai.  Its extended codeshare partnership with Emirates offers travellers more seamless connections between the Emirates and flydubai networks to 155 destinations. Passengers will also benefit from a priority check-in service at Terminal 3, Dubai International.

Flight time to Tel Aviv from Dubai is expected to be less than four hours.  flydubai continues to rollout WiFi across its fleet enabling passengers to stay connected during their flight and can browse the web, send emails, use social networks and get the latest news. flydubai’s passenger experience has been redesigned to enable travel in a safe environment that minimises crew and passenger contact.

Passengers are required to make sure that they are up to date with the regulations from the IATA Travel Centre for their whole journey and follow the guidance issued by the authorities and the airline.
